Just south of San Jose the capital city of Costa Rica lies the famous coffee growing region of Tarrazu. On the west side you have the Pacific ocean and cutting through further East is the Talamanca mountain range that stretches all the way through to Panama. The region is substantially covered by rain forests with an incredibly rich biodiversity. This landscape has created conditions of rich volcanic soil optimal sunshine and rainfall as well as the high altitudes perfect for the cultivation of coffee.
