About Ken Bon
Ken Bon Trading is a family-run Ethiopian coffee processor and exporter led by Aisha and Danya Bon, a mother-daughter team carrying forward their family’s long-standing connection to Ethiopian coffee. Their roots go back to Jimma, one of Ethiopia’s most storied coffee regions, where their family once operated local coffee processing sites surrounded by lush forests. Coffee has always been part of their story, something they’ve grown up with, known, and cared deeply about.
Over eight years ago, Aisha founded Keko Coffee, exporting coffee and spices across international markets. As the business grew, her daughter Danya joined her, and together they created Ken Bon Trading, a second-generation company focused on quality, traceability, and community impact. Today, Ken Bon works with smallholder producers across Guji, Yirgacheffe, Lekempti, and Jimma. Each lot is carefully hand-picked, naturally processed, and sun-dried to preserve the distinctive flavors and aromas that define Ethiopian coffee.
Beyond processing and export, Aisha and Danya are committed to the people behind every harvest. They’ve helped build local schools and funded a clean-water well in Huraga, Guji, improving access and opportunities for coffee-growing families. For them, coffee is more than a business, it’s a way of life grounded in family, tradition, and purpose.
